Ryton Football Club was formed in 1970 and started as one adult football team based in a local public house.

The football club thanks to a Lottery grant were able to move to their current site and the Club house was built.  Work was completed in 1998 and Ryton Football Club was officially opened by HRH Prince Andrew.

Ryton Football Club is a Chartered Standard Club and is the only football club in the area to offer the chance for a child to come into football at the age of 6 years and play through every age group progressing into an adult team and playing in the FA Youth Cup and FA Vase competitions.  We now have 3 adult football teams and 17 youth football teams including girl's based at the Club. All of the football coaches at Ryton F.C are FA qualified.

Thanks to a Football Foundation Grant work was competed on a new 3rd generation All-weather pitch which is not only available to all the members of the Club but the local community including local schools and youth organisations.

Ryton F.C. has forged partnerships with Durham FA, Gateshead M.B.C., Northumbria Police and the Ryton & District Partnerships.

We hope you will come along and enjoy what Ryton Football Club has to offer.
